We are thrilled to announce that Paweł Nakielski, PhD has joined Our Scientific Committee!✨
Paweł Nakielski is a biomaterials scientist specializing in advanced polymer systems for regenerative and translational medicine. He received his M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the Warsaw University of Technology (2010) and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering in 2014 for his work on nanofiber-based drug delivery systems integrating experimental and computational modeling.
Since 2014, he has been an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Fundamental Technological Research, Polish Academy of Sciences, where he develops nano- and microstructured biomaterials for minimally invasive therapies. His work combines electrospinning, laser micromachining, 3D printing, and microfabrication to engineer injectable microscaffolds and controlled RNA/drug delivery platforms.
His research evolved from neuroprotective nanofiber systems toward injectable biomaterials for intervertebral disc regeneration and senescence-modulating therapies. In 2024–2025, he completed a year-long research stay at INSERM (UMRS 1229, Nantes, France), focusing on in vitro models of cellular senescence in disc degeneration. He was also a visiting scientist at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center (USA).
Dr Nakielski has led or co-led 10 research projects and is the author/co-author of six international patent applications. Alongside academia, he has experience in technology valuation and commercialization strategy in the biomedical sector. 🔬
