{"id":6567,"date":"2026-03-19T19:00:00","date_gmt":"2026-03-19T18:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.eyec.ichip.pw.edu.pl\/?p=6567"},"modified":"2026-03-18T15:38:02","modified_gmt":"2026-03-18T14:38:02","slug":"welcome-irena-zizovic","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.eyec.ichip.pw.edu.pl\/?p=6567","title":{"rendered":"Welcome Irena \u017di\u017eovi\u0107!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>We are delighted to introduce Irena \u017di\u017eovi\u0107 as a special guest of the 14th European Young Engineers Conference!&#x2728;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Irena\u00a0\u017di\u017eovi\u0107\u00a0is a\u00a0professor\u00a0of chemical engineering\u00a0at the Faculty of Chemistry, Wroclaw University of Science and Technology.\u00a0She received the title of full professor from the University of Belgrade\u00a0in 2016 and from the\u00a0Council of the Scientific Excellence of the Republic of Poland in 2023.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Irena\u00a0\u017di\u017eovi\u0107\u00a0has\u00a0over\u00a030 years of experience in\u00a0designing processes involving\u00a0supercritical carbon dioxide such as extraction, impregnation, polymer foaming,\u00a0heterogeneous\u00a0reactions\u00a0 in\u00a0supercritical phase, and aerogel production. In the\u00a0last ten years, her focus has been designing advanced materials, such as those with strong antibacterial or antibiofilm properties, aerogels for different applications, active food packaging, polymeric systems for drug\u00a0delivery, and novel composite materials for\u00a0gas separations.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Irena\u00a0\u017di\u017eovi\u0107\u00a0is the co-author of more than 100 scientific studies, with\u00a0over\u00a02500 citations\u00a0and an h-index of\u00a030.\u00a0She has been the PI of 9 national and international projects and holds 4 patents in the field.
