Participants will have a chance to visit Process Equipment Laboratory, where a number of process equipment used in the chemical industry has been assembled. The installations are either systems of commercially offered products or test rigs designed by our students as their engineering or master theses. The equipment is used for both education and research, and covers majority of unit operations. It is also one of the biggest such laboratories in Europe.
Participants will visit Graphene Laboratory established at the Warsaw University of Technology in 2015. Graphene Laboratory provides facilities for manufacturing of the standardized flake graphene with a specific functionality for research of new materials and searching for innovative graphene applications
During this tour, participants will have a chance to visit the Laboratory of Dispersed Systems located at the Faculty of Chemical and Process Engineering (WUT). The equipment for the production and testing of filtration materials will be presented. In the laboratory there are also test rigs for generation and detection different types of aerosol particles from several micrometers to nanometers.
A chance to see a small scale brewing equipment designed by members of Scientific Club of Chemical and Process Engineering. Its creators will talk about challenges they encountered and show their solutions
During the show, participants will have opportunity to get acquainted with the work of the confocal microscope. Participants will learn about the working principle or the microscope. Exemplary microscopic slide for observation will include polymeric materials with human endothelial cells.
